Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages help. Under Google's terms it records the pages you view, your rough location, your device and browser type, and where you came from. Google works out the rough location from your IP address. Google Analytics also saves a cookie in your browser. It holds a random number, so repeat visits count as one visitor. It does not hold your name or email. Google Signals and ad personalization are off. This site runs no ads and sells no data.

This site sends two events of its own. One says a newsletter form was sent, and which page it was on. The other says what kind of answer the QCD (money sent straight from your IRA to a charity at 70½ or older, not taxed as income, up to a yearly limit) checker gave. Examples are "eligible" or "needs more information." Neither one records what you typed. Google Analytics may also log standard events by itself, such as scrolling or clicking a link to another site.

Tools

The tools run in your browser. What you type stays there. It is not sent to a server or to analytics, stored, or put in the page address. Only the kind of answer the QCD checker gave is counted, as above.

Newsletter

If you sign up, your email address goes to Kit (ConvertKit), the email service Motion Retirement uses. Your address is used to send that newsletter. The form also records that you signed up from this site, and which page. You can unsubscribe from any email.

Hosting

Cloudflare runs this site's servers. It handles standard request facts, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site.

Links to other sites

Links to Motion Retirement and YouTube carry a tag showing the visit came from this site. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
